USA 2017
Travel planning
Where do you want to go? That's quite simple this time. Friends of mine are currently living in Louisville (Kentucky), so it makes sense to visit them in a roundabout way.
OK, where do we start in the USA? New York City, because this city is always worth a visit and my last visit to this metropolis was almost 8 years ago.
Then we head further west. Philadelphia and of course Washington DC are obvious choices. In between we could visit the Amish.
After that, I think it will be a bit unspectacular. So straight to Louisville. We'll spend a few nice days there with our friends who live there.
On the way back, I'm planning a detour to Niagara Falls.
Cost overview
The dollar exchange rate (early 2017) doesn't make the whole thing particularly cheap at the moment :-(
I was also a bit shocked by the rental car.
However, I still opted for the upper middle class for the time being, as the lower middle class would only cost around EUR 40 less overall. This way, we definitely have enough space for two large suitcases and I don't have to worry about the car not having cruise control, for example.
