Scotland for beginners

10 days, 4 hotels, 2 men and a car.

I always wanted to save Scotland for later, then a friend persuaded me and off we went. For 700 euros per person, 4 x 2 overnight stays included. Ferry crossing from Amsterdam to Newcastle. All in my own car.

It was interesting... Luckily we had pretty good weather. Only one really rainy day. Otherwise I wouldn't have known what to do in constant rain. Oh yes, off to the nearest pub and beer, beer and beer or whisky if you like.

But I also have to admit that we perhaps didn't really get to explore the country as we should have because we were tied to the hotels and thus also to the driving routes.

Nevertheless, Scotland offers beautiful scenery and is definitely worth a trip.
